The artist visited Edinburgh for the presentation of Joseph Hislop's posthumous bust to the Usher Hall.

Gloria Loring and her husband were accommodated in a splendid suite of the Sheriton Hotel with views to Edinburgh Castle. This opportunity resulted in 2 pastels sketches.
